Walther model 8 grips

My Walther model 8 grips have medallions on each side and I can't figure out how to loosen or tighten these....looks like a special tool ( similar to a span wrench ). Any advice?

  Make up a quick & dirty, shade up tree mechanic spanner wrench. Cut the heads off a couple of small nails. Drive them in the end of a piece of wood,( proper distance apart ). You can handle it, from there.

  Hello you can also use a pair of snap ring pliers if you know a mechanic that you can barrow them from.
