The Glock trigger job
Anyone have a link or can explain the 25 cent trigger job for Glocks? Read something about it, said without buying anything new you get a 3# trigger pull. Anyone familiar with this? I found some references to it on Glocktalk but not an explanation of what you do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spend the extra 19.00 and get yourself the 3.5lbs connector. If the gun will be used for self defense, leave it BONE STOCK. You do not want any mods to it and specially do not want some ghetto 25 cent trigger job on the gun.
I use to have my G19 set to 3.5lbs but now since its my primary sidearm for defense I moved it back up to the stock 5lbs.0 -

Thanks Point Blank, thats exactly what I was looking for. After reading it, I think I would be more comfortable with the part replacement.
Contactfront: A friend invited me to tactical competitve shooting, that's why I want a lighter trigger.

I have the 3.5 in almost all my Glocks except my duty weapon, I also have the marine cups in ALL my Glocks. Ya never know when your gonna have to shoot underwater[:D]

I am have been in that arena for several years now. Shoot what you carry, F the equipment race and all the stuff that give you an "edge".
Key word there is tactical. Are you in IPSC or IDPA?0 -
As a IDPA range officer, I have a lot of respect for those shooters that shoot what they carry. Beware of the man that only shoots one gun. They are usally very good. Being a owner of many handguns I can't seem to follow that advice. To many gun not enogh time. AKA 4gunexpert

I only have one handgun, my G23. I just feel that the trigger pull is too hard for me to get good repetitive shots. Maybe more practice is what I need, or maybe the gun just isn't broken in good yet (only has about 300rds through it).

Couldn't agree with you more. I am glad Wilson cracked down on the rules. I stop shooting IDPA because it was becoming like IPSC in a sense. They still need to crack down a lil more I think.

The trigger is not that bad. It's about honing your skills with a bone stock gun instead of paying money to give you an edge. 5lbs, 3.5lbs, all the same. I rather spend more money on ammo.0 -
Lets see.... Wilson's new rules, "No Unckle Mikes Holsters" Thats one of the best selling holsters!!! Maybe he dont like them cuz he has money in a company that makes Holsters ( check for your self) You have a box that your gun needs to fit into with a mag in it..Gun with a Wilson mag will fit in the box, but Chip's will not. Some Sig guns are too heavy, but none of the Wilson guns are. Mag pouch needs to cover 2" of the mag, and upsidedown, mags will not fall out. Some mag pouches are just fraction short of 2", but that same company the makes holsters he has money in makes mag pouches that are 2".... When IDPA first got going it was said, "you dont need to buy a lot of BIG money holsters and things" That was to keep all the race crap out of IDPA...
