Will a Ruger no 3 stock fit a no 1 action?

Don't know. Never tried. Never heard of anyone else trying.
Which of those parts do you have ? And which would you be looking for ?

I have traded numerous No.3 buttstocks for No.1 buttstocks, mostly to get away from the (fairly)sharp corners on the No.3 stocks in heavy calibers like .45-70. In the process I have also checked the fit of the No.3 stock on the No.1 and it fits without any difficulties. The forarms can be swapped too, if the barrel profiles are similar enough, otherwise some inletting will be required to put a No.3 forearm on the heavier No.1 barrel profiles.
