Can anyone recommend a decent air pistol?
Single shot, break-style. . .not too expensive.
Intended for bullseye/target shooting.
Not competition level. . .just decent for indoor paper-punching/ training purposes.

Have you seen these? It the IZH Baikal 46M.
These are Russian but have quite a good reputation for accuracy and reliability. Accuracy is match quality. Fully adjustable target trigger and 500 FPS.

I know you stated you wanted a break-style, but I have a Drulov-10 or DU-10 Condor CO2 pistol. It is a five-shot made for rapid fire competition and is a dream and cheap to shoot with bulk CO2 refill. They can be found on the same website if you are interested.
These were my final two choices before I purchased the DU-10. I decided I didn't want to cock the gun every shot. Just lazy.

Izh-46M is THE best value for the money. In the right hands, it's VERY capable of shooting national level scores, but can be found for around a couple hundred bucks. 0 -
