.243 twist
if you purchase a .243 or .243 wssm will a 1/10 twist handle both the larger (95-100 grn ) and smaller (55grn ) bullets? Most .243's I see have the 1/10.
imay not know it all.....but at least I know that!

Yes, with the disclaimer that the heavier bullets are hunting style bullets and not the 'Target VLD' style bullets. The heavier and therefore longer VLD bullets require a faster twist in order to stabilize them. Of course, if you are more intent on shooting the lighter varmint type bullets, you would be better off with a 12" or even 14" twist and forget about shooting the heavier bullets.
I don't have a compromise since I use 14" twist barrels for my varmint rifles and an 8" (or even 7") twist for my long range target rifles.
