Winchester M1 Carbine Butt Plates?
How do you tell which butt plates for M1 Carbines are made by Winchester? I have several butt plates and want to make sure I use the correct one for my M1. Thank you!

You probably want to buy a copy of "US M1 Carbines Wartime Production" by Craig Riesch.

Riesch says that the Winchester butt plate has 4 rows of diamonds at the top and two at the bottom. That configuration is unique to Winchester.
