Rings for CZ 452 American 17 HM2

Mooseyard
What rings does this rifle take? The standard 22 rings look like they would be too small, and weaver rings are too big. Can anyone help me with this.

    too bad you didn't ask this last week before i cleaned my bench [:(] i threw away the empty package that my set came in ,
    there are no markings on my set
    all i can tell you is I got the cheap ones that Gander mountain sells , they clamp right in the groove like they should , i went with a see thru set because i put a simmons pro 50 on it ( just right )
    the rings spilt in half with 2 screws on each side , they take allen wrench

    Just saw these tonight as I am strongly considering purchase of a CZ 452. These are Weaver base adapters that will take any rings designed to fit standard weaver rings.

    I purchased a CZ 452 in .17HMR a couple years ago. Put on a Nikon Monarch variable with Millett rings. They are specific for the CZ as I recall. Then I bought a 452 .22Mag. and have Talley rings around a Simmons 3-9X.

    Since you have the "American" CZ, you'll want to use rings to fit the 3/8ths" grooved receiver. The Weaver based rings are much wider and will not work. Any good gun store should have the 3/8ths.

    I own a CZ 452 Mannlicher in 22 Mag. The CZ manual states it has an 11mm grooved receiver. That is, instead of the usual 3/8" grooved receiver it is an 11mm grooved receiver, European version of our 3/8ths.

    I bought the 11mm rings from Brownells for about $40.00, then took a set of 3/8" grooved Weavers just for the heck of it & they fit perfectly. From CZ directly the 11mm rings are about $50.00.
    I still use the plain old 3/8" grooved base Millets and they work fine. It's a nice looking little gun so I got the engraved rings. Cost from Brownells was about $18.00.
    Since your CZ is the "American" version you'll use standard 3/8" grooved receiver type with no problem.
    I know this goes beyond what you asked, but perhaps the info will help someone who has the European CZ will save some $$$ on rings.

    Just a little follow up - check out the website from EJett. All sorts of goodies for the CZs. The trigger spring really does wonders for the trigger pull & is very easy to install in abot 1 minute.
