Okay, guys. I'm sorry if you've answered this before. In his last movies, John Wayne seemed to always carry the same white-handled revolver. What kind of gun was it? Make? Model?

  This is not a fairy tale!
  While assigned to LTA Santa Ana, I was invited to the Duke's home (after his death) and was able to hold that revolver. His ex-wife (Pilar) was gracious and humored me and my questions. All of his memorabilia was facinating.....Green Beret, etc. A memory I'll take with me!

  If Memory Serves: When He Died, He [The Duke] 'Willed' this Colt to Sammy Davis Jr....I've never heard what happened to it after Sammy Passed away....

  Saw it on display at 1996 Shot Show in the Colt booth. Wish I could have touched it (in large behind Glasscase with holster). Loaned by Wayne family.
