I'm looking to purchase a Luger P08 9mm as a shooter, what is a reasonable price? What should I expect mechanically? Any special maintenance? Thanks, Mark

  There are a lot of worn, refinished, rusty, corroded & mismatched Lugers out there that should be selling in the $300-400 range. However, it's been several years since I've seen any selling for < $500. You should be able to get a decent shooter for (gulp) somewhere in the $600-800 range.
  
  Mechanically, you should expect a smooth bore & reliable functioning; careful inspection & test firing may be necessary.

  I bought one from S.O.G for 639.00 it is in great shape only problem is the importer stamped the information right on the side in plain view and it looks kinda bad.
