Best optical Sight for Plinking?

I plan to put an optical sight on my Marlin 9mm Camp Rifle.

Should I be looking at red dots or should I be looking at a true telescopic sight.

This is for shooting tennis balls or blocks of wood or whatever - what do the pros recommend???

  For Plinking I would look at the ATN Heads Up Display scope. At 25 yards you will hit your target each and every time. At 50 yards and practive the same thing. Over 50 yards with the camp 9 telescopic. My 2 cents. [8D]
