Recoil Spring for Para-0rd P-12 ???
I have a Para-Ord P12 double stack .45acp. I was wounding if anyone
had this gun inparticular and would tell me what pound recoil spring
they light to use? The Barrel is 3inch.
As I understand it, you have to use a heavier recoil spring for hotter
+p or +P+ loads. So a separate recoil spring for self-defence carry
is also a consideration.
I contacted aparts dealer for Para-Ord, and they said,"They Think"
an 18.5 lbs spring would be adequate with the Higher power shells
(+p) for Texas Ammo or Buffalo Bore.
I don't know, any thoughts, any preferances?

According to my Wolff spring catalog, They list Factory rating on Para-Ordnance P-12 Recoil spring @ 22lbs. They also offer 18.5, 20 lbs on reduced power as well as a 24 lb extra power spring. Wolff springs web site is www.gunsprings.com and 1(800) 545-0077. 0 -
