325 WSM
I am going to assume this is a standard 8mm dia. bullet, .323? I have not been able to get any reloading data on this round yet. I would hate to think there are three different sizes in 8mm.

I bought a 325WSM last season. This gun is incredible.I took it up to Coloorado to go Elk hunting, droped one at 400yd no hesitation It definately lives up to its reputation. The questoin I have is it too much gun for Texas hunting? 0 -
there is a good article on it in April issue of Guns and Ammo and yes it is a 8mm (.323 ) 200 grain bullet has a MV of 2950 and energy of 3864
it says iti shoots as flat as a 7mm mag and hits like a 3380 -
I've not seen any loading data for this either, and I wish some would show up soon because I have the rifle about finished. I would imagine it will show up soon somewhere...

Mrbruce,
Sounds good, What components are you building this rifle with? I was kind of glad to hear Winchester came out with an 8mm. It will mean a better bullet selection for reloading my standard Mausers. And down the road....who knows...I might get permission.

Sandwarrior,
I used a good ole Remington action from a new S/S 7mm SAUM, along with a 26" Pac-Nor S/S-SM 10 twist #5 contour.
Then I'll put it in a reworked Boyds Thumbhole Warner Varminter in a Royal Jacaronda laminate.
The factory ammo should be here this week, now for some good loading data, along with some 180 Ballistic Tips and 200 gr Partitions that I already have.[:D]

mrbruce,
Thanks for the info, let us know how it shoots. If you have a chrono would like to know if you get close on factory published velocities, too.
Thanks for the information on the article too, gskyhawk.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the .325 WSM to long for the Rem SAUM mag? I mean by almost 1/4"?? 0 -
Ern,

ern98,
I just checked my 600 magazines and they measure 2.890" inside dimension. The 325 WSM is loaded to an OAL of 2.860" according to Winchester.

Both of the internal magazine boxes on these two new 7mm SAUM's were right at 2.845 !!
A little tweaking of the bolt stop, and on the receiver, and the loaded rounds slip right out.
