** How to clean a sticker off of a mag?**
I opened some mags I mail ordered the other day and saw that there was stickers on them. (price and what not) When I tried to remove them, they left behind that famous sticky residue. I was wondering what cleaning product I could use to take this off. I'm a bit scared to get in there with something from under the sink, the last thing I want to do is ruin my brand new mags. Anyone have experience with this before? Thanks for the help.

I've always had success in using plain rubbing alcohol to get off the residue. It gets the job done without marring the surface

Why did this take so long to come about? I found this totally by accident and it works as advertised, unusual these days, I know. A little goes a long way.

If you want some extra product around the house- they make this stuff called Goo Gone (i think) which is just for that purpose (sticker goo)

Aslo womens fingernail polish remover works well. 0 -
Heat - a hairdryer works well to loosen up the glue.
Rubbing alchohol or nailpolish remover for the rest.
Don't do anything that I've allready done - That'd be just plain STOOOOOOPID.

When I get a new Ruger, and they have the big warning stickers on the mags. I just lay them on a rag and liberally spray them with Rem-Oil. Let it sit for a minute and the sticker comes right off, then just clean up the excess oil.

The best and least expensive stuff to use is mineral spirits - plain old paint thinner. Less than $2 per gallon, alot cheaper than GOO GONE! 0 -
