Which Recoil reducer? there are so many types

I have an 1897 Winchester 12 gauge. it has a 7/8"s hole in the stock about 7" long. what is my best choice for a recoil compensator? Thanks!

  springs and mercury are the most common. but in an 1897? it wont make much difference! trust me.[;)]
