Anyone have any good ideas on tuning up an out of the box ruger sp101 in .357? Srpings? Grips? Trigger job?

    Thanks!

All of the above. [:)] Ruger's triggers are almost always too heavy, and they will admit that it's a liabilty consideration. They can be made much better by a knowledgeable 'smith.

I put Wolff springs in mine, made a huge difference. Considering a trigger job to see how that can improve it.

What weight springs did you buy? How do you like 'em.

    I know nothing.

Is it difficult to install Wolff springs in a SP101 ? What all do you have to do ?

I agree with Darkstar. Wolf springs are the best. Theit trigger spring kit was easy to instal and gave me choices in trigger pull weight. I ended up with the 14 lb. spring for total reliablity.

I went with the 11 lb main spring and the 8 lb trigger spring.

I also replaced the factory stocks with Hogue rubber Monogrips, and I like them as well. All replacements were very easy to install. These simple changes have made it a better shooter than the day it left the factory, but I think a good 'smith can further improve it.
