Ithaca 51 magnum
What is the value of 12 ga. model 51 magnum? Does gun shoot 2 3/4& 3" shells? Any idea on age? 95-98% condition. Any problems? Thanks

The new Blue Book states the price range is around $265-$295 if it has a vent rib on it. Less with out the rib on it. Some folks say the prices are not that accurate in the Blue Book but you have to start someplace I guess.
The standard guns were made from 1970 to 1985, and the Magnum with the rib became standard in 1984 and was discontinued in 1985.
Both the Magnum and the Magnum Waterfowler used 3" shells only.
My brother has used one since they came out, and seems to like it just fine, and never had a problem that I know of.

Barrel has 3" on one side and 2 3/4" or 3" on other. A little puzzling to me! 0 -
The 51 never really caught the market. I have had a few, some jammed,resale was terrible in this area. nambu 0 -
