MG 34

There is a company in OR that is selling MG 34 in "semi automatic" form.
Completely legal with BATF&E paperwork noting legal.
These are "rebuilt with original parts".
Anyone out there know anymore as to the quality, accuracy etc.?
They are high price but I am old enough to be looking with some interest.
Just don't want to be an old fool.

    I just bought a MG 34 from TNWFirearms.

    Anyone have an idea where I can locate a carrying case? It is over 48" long and weighs around 28.5lbs. including the bipod.

    A carrying case would help these tired old bones.

    Hope you gots lots of $.
    I know of 3 possibilites and they are expensive.

    I'm in the same boat you are, I have the kit, but cant find a
    reciever to copy off of.
    As most are full class3 machineguns. And the owners wont loan
    them out for some odd reason due the the BATFE regs.

    If you can find some 02/07/SOT with one, I would expect your looking in the $7,000 - $10,000 range for a prototype semi reciever.

    Why so much $?, The 02/07/SOT has to draw up plans and submit them to the BATFE for acceptance. Once that is done, and the BATFE accepts his plans, then he can build you a semi-auto reciever.
    That would assumingly take at least a year to get that done.

    I've included the mg 42 link as you might want to look at them as a alternative, plus they carry MG 34 parts.

    Have you considered a 1919 ... lower cost for gun, lower cost for ammo, plentiful accessories at reasonable prices? With tripod (inc. T&E), A6 conversion kit, and spade grip set your typically looking at $2,500-2,600 tops.

    This is what I am lookin at. Lots of bucks but, at my age, I have saved a few pennies with no children to consider.

    The MG 34 has such a great history as far as quality etc.

    "Ready for immediate shipment" Maybe.
    "ATF approved" Maybe.

    I've heard these claims before for other would-be firearms. Has anyone actually seen one of these in a dealers showroom? I'd need to see one in the flesh before plunking down $4,000. Call me skeptical, I am.

    They are a legit company. You need to go to some of the military and re-enactor sites to get more diversified f'bak.
