Scope Help Please
Hello Yall
I just recently bought a nef youth model single shot in 22 hornet. It Has a 20 inch barrel, weight 5 pounds. Also has smaller stock. I want to scope it. I want to use a short compact scope to keep the lines of the gun the same ie shot, light, compact. I want the scope to live up to the potential of the 22 hornet round. I don't want to under scope it. Would a 4x or 6x burris compact work? I am leaning toward the 6x.IS this enought scope? I don't want a bench rest rifle. I just want a do little of everything rifle, Something I can carry in the truck and use on whatever i come across. Also sent the reciever back and had a 22-250 barrel fitted to it. What would be a good scope for this round? I am open to all suggestions! Thankyou Beltfed

6x would be the max I would use on a do everything rifle, and 4x will do the job fine unless you are shooting a lot of varmint size game at some distance. I almost never turn my variables up past 4x except at the range. 0 -
I think a 6X would be a good fit for the 22 Hornet, and as far as the 22-250 goes, for an everything scope, I think either a 3.5-10 or a 4-12 would be appropriate. 0 -
maybe you should look at a 2x5 variable , I like them on shorter type rifles 0
