Please help I.D. this Revolver
I just returned from Tampa to pick-up some inherited guns. The exectutor of the estate asked if she could keep one revolver. I offered to I.D. it for her. Yes, I know a picture would be great but I didn't take my camera with me.
It's a 32 cal 6 shot revolver. Barrel about 4 1/2". Blued with wooden grips. I believe it's foreign made but I had a hard time reading the info on top of the barrel. The large trademark was on the grips and frame. Perhaps someone will recognize it.
The mark is a capitol "S" with the very ends of the character filled in a triangle shape. Superimposed over the "S" is a capitol "A".
The info on top of the barrel (and this will not be 100% correct) read:
"7 N/S S.A. - REV - APEGLAZALI (I added the hyphens)

Be advised that he pistol looks only a 5 - 20 years old.

Spain wasn't one of the combatants during W W I. Although they supplied many handguns for both military and paramilitary use.
I can't find the specific revolver you describe in my references, BUT believe it to be Spanish made, probably for civilian sale to one of the combatants.
Although you identify it as being in 32 Cal., it's more likely to be chambered for the 8mm Lebel French revolver cartridge or even possibly the 7.62 Russian nagant.
As a class these revolvers are quite historical and interesting,BUT their not worth a lot of money.

Thanks for the replies guys. BTW, thanks also to all those that calmed me down about flying with guns 3 weeks ago. Everything went fine. The only uncomfortable moment was walking under the big sign "No Firearms Allowed" at the St. Pete terminal enterence. Fortunately it was 5:30 AM and few travelers were there. I didn't have to stand in line carrying a big aluminum case full of guns!
A couple of things that I forgot earlier about the revolver:
It clearly says "32 Cal"
It has an odd comment "Use only quality American made cartridges" (I think the term was "cartridges").
It has a beautiful jeweled trigger and hammer.
