01 FFL...

need some info guys.... have a C&R ffl at the moment, but considering getting an 01. since getting my C&R people are coming out of the woodwork to buy some. my ? is... can i operate out of my personal residence or out of a dwelling on my property? please help. Thanks

  You will want to think about this. The initial buy-in is around $200.00. The other problem has been some of the feds don't want you to have an 01 license just for your own use. There are some guidelines for small volume dealers but many of the ones I used to know just would not put up with the fingerprinting,inventory checks,etc.

  thanks gentlemen for the input... i live in rural east Texas on 10 acres. zoning is not a problem. i have already received my packet, fingerprints are not a problem, nothing to hide. i full well intend to have a full service gunshop in operation by the end of the year. i work as paramedic now and getting ready to hang it up. 20 yrs. is enuff. again, thank you.
