CZ-75 vs. Tanfoglio Witness. Are these the same?
They have a very similar appearance, are they based on the same design?
Is the Witness just a "clone" of the CZ-75?
Do they have interchangeable parts?
Are they comparable in quality?

The CZ75, Witness, and the Baby Eagle are all the same basic pistol. They are all based off of the same design, though they have their cosmetic differences. I dont know if the parts are interchangeable but I know that they are all good quality arms.

The Witness comes in more caliburs that the CZ line and the Compitition Witness line is impressive. My 2 cents [8D]

The Witness is heavier than the CZ75. At least my 10mm is.

I have several of each model pistol that you mention and I think that the Witness is by far the best of the bunch. I own a Witness Gold Team, a Witness Silver Team and a standard model. Even the standard model has a better fit and finish than the my CZ and the fact that the Witness has interchangable parts that can be purchased online make it a better deal. For example, I purchased parts online to convert my Silver Team from 9x23 to 10mm and 45. I also purchased the parts to convert it from a single action trigger to double action. If you want to see how many parts are available from the factory to fit on these guns, go to the EAA website and check it out. The others dont offer anything close.

While the Tanfoglio is closely based off the CZ-75, they are not identical and not all parts interchange. Furthermore, Tanfoglio makes a large frame (for .38 super, .45acp, 10mm) and a small frame (9x19, .40s&w); CZ might have started making a large frame model, but I'm not 100% sure. 0 -
CZ is the original, the rest are copies.[:)]
