    I believe DC is the abbreviation for having a DeCocker, which allows the hammer to be lowered.

    je2140 has it correct. Have one here, and yes it's a brick but a very accurate one. It is a decocker. Very rugged pistol, never had a jamb I can remember and affordable, espec. the way it is built.

    To clarify further; the P-89 has a decocker too, but it is combined with the safety. When you apply the safety on the P-89 it also decocks the gun. On the P-89DC there is no manual safety -- where the safety lever is, is just the decocking lever.
