windage calculations

anyone know a good sight for calculating windage adjustments for different grain bullets and such? i havent learned that in school yet

    There are a lot of factors there. Weight is only one of them. Ogive factor, sectional density, ballistic coefficient, etc. all play a roll. If you want to accurately calculate wind drift with a given bullet, you'll need a good ballistics program. There is no simple formula.

    It's easy to spot liberals-they are the ones who have no assets to protect and need every handout they can get. They have forbeyed themselves ascendence to a productive lifestyle.

    Andy,

    Personally, I would suggest that you do a bunch of reading first then look at the calculations. Get the basic understanding of all of the concepts and factors that figure into windage and elevation adjusting. Learn the definitions of these factors then start practicing with a calculator.

    unless you use the EXACT rifle that the tester did, and the EXACT load that was used to get data for the calculations, youre setting yourself up for failure. funny how things change with time, everyone looks for the easy fix. stupid computers. the hard fix is of course the obvious...SHOOT and log your own findings with your own gun. try to apply the same data to another gun and youll be off. charts are guides, not solid data. you cant program wind density, dog legs, humidity, temp, mirage, etc... thats what makes real true riflemen EXPERTS. they can (feel) 1/2 click one their faces and make the adjustment for each shot.
