Beretta mdl 300 3" Mag Modify to 2 3/4???
I purchased a Beretta model A-300 with a 3" Magnum 30" Barrel for $300 here in california. I am hoping to locate a B-80 Browning or Model 300,1,2, or 303 barrel for 2 3/4 shells. If I am unable to locate one is it possible to modify the 2 gas ports on the barrel? So more gas would enter the Action and allow the gun to eject the lighter targer loads? I wonder if the bypass port would just blow out this extra gas and make the mod useless.

just drill out the gas ports. 0 -
THE GAS PORT HOLES IN YOUR BERETTA FOR A 3" BARREL SHOULD BE A #44 DRILL SIZE & THE HOLES FOR A 2 & 3/4 BERETTA SHOULD BE A #37 DRILL SIZE HERE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BROWNING & BERETTA THE PORT HOLES FOR THE B-80 3" IS #49 DRILL SIZE & THE 2 & 3/4 IS #42 DRILL SIZE. YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF IF YOU DRILLED OUT YOUR BARREL TO A #37 DRILL SIZE. I HOPE THIS HELPS. REMEMBER THE SMALLER THE # THE LARGER THE HOLE IN DRILL # SIZES DON'T OVER DO IT
