Huh, this is strange. Maybe he was using some type of Mickey
Mouse Reloaded ammo. That will do it.
Hum, not to sure, I will stay posted to see the others reply.

Many of the aftermarket mags are jamomatics. Some TLC will usually fix them up.

    Factory mags work perfect.

    Probably magazine issues.

Had an early blued that would fire about anything fed to it, like a fool, sold it and got a stainless. It did OK until I scoped it. It would bounce the empties off the bottom of the scope right back in the action and jam it it about 1 in three times. Finally took the scope off. Other than a dirty extractor, usually did fine.

I have a Mini 14 Ranch with a scope on it and it seems to rip through clip after clip and never had a jam of any kind. I've shot Winchester and Wolf through it and no trouble with either. Good reliable weapon in my opinion, not tack driving accurate out of the box but maybe I expect too much!

I have had many Mini 14s and the ONLY time I have had a jamming problem is with cheap aftewr market mags. The Mini 14 is so loose in tolerences that it takes something from the mag end to jam IMHO. Stick with good mags, not cheap one, and you should not have a problem. As to a scope making one jam, several have been scoped including the one I still have and I have never had it happen but can see where it is posible.

I'll mirror the general concensus here. Only jamming issues I ever had were with the "gun show special" magazines. But with factory or good quality after-market mags, the mini's are reliable to a fault.

It's easy to spot liberals-they are the ones who have no assets to protect and need every handout they can get. They have forbeyed themselves ascendence to a productive lifestyle.

All I shoot is Wolf, and it still cycles. It takes some effort to close the action on the first round, though.

thanks for the replies. i should have considered the magazine. i had a simular problem with a 1911 good mags fixed the problem. this friend of mine is one of those gun show bargain types and that is probably where he was having his trouble.

I have a mini-30 and it has never given me any trouble with factory mags. As for scopes on my mini, they have never caused any jamming, but the ejected case can hit the windage adjustment knob if it sticks out pretty far. As for accuracy they can be accurized for very little money. This is a link to a site that can help you accurize your mini.

I accurized my mini for about $100 and it now shoots MOA or better.

I have owned several Mini 14's and the only issue I have had was reloads that were too long and bad mags. Never Never use USA mags. Factory mags Thurmold and PMI tend to work best. My 2 cents [8D]
