Value/price this
Well some of you have watched me build this - I will have it a a gun show on March 5-6. I really do not want to sell but will put a price tag on it - I was thinking $1750.00... What say you experts????

At $1750 I think some one will snap that up.
That looks easily worth alot more than that! Please don't sell it.

$3,500 wouldn't be out of line. Rationale here is that you really don't want to sell it, but would sell if for the right price. So make the price "right".
For the sake of discussion let's say you have $1,000 in materials that leaves $2,500 to offset labor. If you only had 100 hours in it that's $25 an hour ... could you go to another craftsman that had the skills to build one, just like yours, and get him to build it for $25 an hour ... or say $2,500 regardless of the hours spent? Or put another way, knowing how long it took you ... would you build another one for that money?
At $1,750 it should sell a lot faster than you may think.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Very nice piece, I would jack it up to around $2000.00 at least.

If you check out some of the "professional" builders prices on similar items I think you'll find the $3,500 price tag much more realistic. Do a quick web search to see what I mean. Good Luck.

If that cannon was mine I know I wouldn't take a dime under 1750.00 and probably would even ask more. 2500.00? 3000.00?
I think it will get snapped up at 1750.00 if you are serious about moving it.0 -
Thanks for the responses - I may not be able to sell this, only display it at the show. BATF regs. might prevent me from selling a destructive device......

What Contender Man said plus Consider craftsmanship, talent, art. Not everybody can do that. At $1750.00 you are liable to sell it before you can get it offloaded. 0
