Powder Question ?
Has anyone tried Rex Powder, made by Nitrokemia Hungary. I
found some at a local gunshop for a good price. Looked it up on
the net and printed some loading data. It works in all the popular
pistol calibers and shotguns. I'm getting ready to bolt a Dillon
press to my bench and need to work up some .45 acp loads. I would
like some real test reports before making a purchase. Looks like the
.45 uses Rex #2, an example of one load is 185 JHP WLP,5.7 grns of
the #2 Rex for 901 fps, 17,900 cup.
I thank the board in advance for any hands on imfo. The price is
18.00 for a kilo, 2.2lbs.

I have loaded the powder you are interested in. It is the dirtest powder I have ever used! It peformed as stated on the reloading chart ,but was like shooting coal dust.I loaded trap loads and the hulls were filthy.I didn't think the price was worth the mess. This is just my opion, at the price you my be happy.

Thanks for the imfo on the rex powder, I don't need any
more cleaning to do. Think I'll stick with what I know that
works.
