Frommer Stop Caliber Question

I just bought a 1912 Frommer stop and was just double checking on the caliber. It is 7.65 Browning (32 auto) correct. I know that the Autro Hungarians used some odd ball calibers so I want to be sure before I take it out and shoot it.

    The majority of the Frommer Stop's made were in 7.65 x 17mm, (.32 Auto). They did make a version for commerical sale after W W I chambered for the 9 x 17mm, (.380 ACP). These are rarely found. If your is chambered for it you have a winner.

    i have to dig out some referances from home, but...

    the .32 auto will work / cycle / function correctly in your FROMMER STOP, i have recently uncovered data that indicates that the actual caliber is 7.65 FROMMMER. there appear to have been some minor differances between the 7.65 BROWNING cartridge, and the nearly identical but proprietary 7.65 FROMMER. there also appear to have been a similar relationship between the .380 auto and the 9MM FROMMER cartridges...

    i will check my info at home, but i seem to recall the FROMMER cases being severly pinched or crimped immediatlty below were the base of the head descended into the case, and that the case rim was modified in some fashion.

    i own a FROMMER STOP POCKET MODEL 1912 made in 1915. my gun is a commercialy proofed variant chambered in 7.65 FROMMER (also functions with .32 auto).
