old style scope mounts
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the old style mounts made by Redfield and others that contained the windage and elevation in the mounts so that the scope didn't have to have adjustments?

I don't think anyone produces that type mount now. You can probably find some on ebay. Kuharsky, later marketed for Bausch & Lomb made a quick detachable mount that had windage and elevation adjustments. Buehler marketed one called an Adjustomount. There may have been others. What rifle and scope do you want them for? 0 -
Leupold made the Adjusto-Mount base and ring set.
Beuhler had the Micro-Dial mount that uses regular Beuhler rings.
I have another set on Weaver bases, not sure if Weaver made those adjustable rings.
What rifle do you need them for?
You won't find them in modern gun stores.0 -
Thanks for the info. I knew that the adjustable mounts were out of production. I can obtain a nice B&L 2 1/2 power with a B&L detachable mount. I am looking for mounnts to fit either Win. or commercial Mauser actions. I like the lower power non variable scopes simplicity and reliability.
Does anyone know if the adjustable mounts will attach to current Weaver bases? If so, then my problem is solved. I don' have possession of the scope and mount yet. I don't want to invest in the item if I can't mount and use it.0 -
I recently purchased a mauser actioned 30-06 with the scope mount and a scope (i beleive a ballard scope)not sure but something like that anyhow i had no use for them so gave them back to the guy i bought the gun from if you are intressed let me know im sure he would let it go cheap. e-mail at correnking@sbcglobal.net 0 -

I think that is correct. My Conetrol mount for my Mauser is adjustable. The only problem is that you would not know how far to go and have to carry the special allen wrench around with you.0 -
Adjustable mounts such as the Bausch & Lomb or Kuharsky are decidedly different from the adjustments available in either the Leupold or Conetrol mounts. The scopes that require these mounts have no adjustments at all, the tube is straight and smooth. The mount supplies all of the adjustments period.
These are some folks to speak with about your mounts:

If all you need is a B%L mount for a model 70, drop me a line with your address and I'll send you one. BTW, all of the Leupold mounts I've seen were for their Pioneer scope which had a 7/8" diameter and would not work for a B&L scope.
