I am looking for help in dating and valueing an F.C Scott sidelock (non-ejector) shotgun. Its serial number is 9539, and the following information is provided...

. Non ejector
. Cross-bolt with dolls-head rib extension
. straight english stock with nice figure
.push-button fore-end release
.drop points
.side-clips
.double bites
. barrells marked F.C Scott Princip Street Birmingham

  The only one of your URL's that are visible on "MY" computer is the last one with the sketch of the proof marks.
  
  All I can tell you from them is that the proofs predate the 1955 change of the British proof law.
