sauer 202 owners

I am considering one of these rifles. What do you guys think of it? I haven't had one in my hands yet. Is the 2 part stock a good thing? how about the safety? thanks for your input.

    I own a Sauer 202 and find it to be a very well built rifle. Accuracy is good. The safety is silent and smooth to operate. I had my trigger tuned by my gunsmith. No problems with the two piece stock. I think you will be satisfied with the rifle. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    I have a Sig Rifle and it would be the only one I would own. Like Garyd said the safty is silent and the bolt is super smooth. I looked at guns costing twice as much and this guns bolt is smoother than any other I have seen. GO for it you will be super happy. Question What Cal.

    Myself being left-handed, I was limited to what caliber I could choose. If I had a choice it would have been 308 or 6.5x55.

    thanks for your input guys, how is the two part stock, have you taken your rifle apart? does everything fit/stay tight? How are the triggers? crispness, creep. Is $1099 a good price for a standard wood in .270? thanks again, handwerk

    My rifle was put together when I purchased it about 5 years ago. I have not taken it apart since then, but the stock is still tight. No problem coming loose. The trigger has very little creep for a factory trigger, just a little heavy for me. If the price of $1099 is for a new ride, I think that is reasonable. The price of 202's has jumped dramatically in the last year, partly because of the weak dollar. The lowest price used 202 I have seen lately is $950. I do not think you will be disappointed with a 202.
