sub-compact CCW in .40. Which one?
SO far I've been looking at SW99's and Sig M2's. Opinions? Other suggestions?

Before they can convince you that rights emanate from them (the government), they must first eliminate God. They are working 24/7 to accomplish this.

If the people have become so apathetic that they will not vote out all the liberal scum (republican and democrat alike), the only solution is Constitutional Convention II the sequel. Let's get it right this time.

I used to like Smith's, but now, here's what I'd suggest you consider!

GLOCK TWENTY SEVEN.
None better or more reliable. Mine is worth it's weight in gold to me and more accurate than it really has a right to be.

Another vote for the Glock 27....Mine has proven to be reliable, quite accurate and a great size....

Another Vote for a G27. I am a 1911 guy but when it comes to sub compact guns for carry, Glock is the way to go. 0 -
don't really know why but I can shoot my G27 as well or better than my G22...add a Lasermax for ultimate in up close defensive weapon...if you've got a little extra room for carry add a hi cap mag. lots of firepower... 0 -
G27 PERIOD.

Sig 239 in .40 Cal. You can also get the .357 sig conversion kit for less than $150 dollars. I've got both the SW99 and the 239 and I would pick the Sig out of those two.

The S&W SW99 Compact [120212] is the ONLY way to go. [I upgraded to one from a G23]. It has a fully supported chamber with traditional rifling so you can shoot reloads, even lead bullets. Great double action trigger first shot and single action thereafter which in my opinion is much safer than a Glock. Glocks still have the unsupported chamber problem and you are prohibited from shooting reloads and lead bullets, ie Kaboom.... If you are considering a Glock .40 be sure to look at

Have you ever considered moving up from .40 to .45? I carry a Glock 36 on a regular basis, and am much happier with it than the G26 (same size as the -27, just 9mm instead of .40) I carried when I first got my CCW.
And, if you have the opportunity, take a look at the Springfield XD compact. I shot one in 9mm recently, and thought it could give a Glock a decent run for it's money in the accuracy department--and, from what I've seen, for about $100 cheaper than a Glock.

Try the springfield XD .40 it will stand up to all of them at a cheaper price. 0
