I have two marked exactly like yours, all original, but reblued. (Gee--wonder who did that?) Many did not have a crest or property markings, but I don't believe that they were for commercial sale. Anyway, as to value, yours if restored to original, would be worth about $350 in my neighborhood. Although they are as good as a Colt of that timeperiod, they're just not worth quite as much.

Still one of the best bargins around. I've noticed that they are beginning to get harder to find in fine shape.

Der's right - they usually sell for around $350-$375, give or take $50. They were built under a Colt contract and they are pretty much just as good as any 1911. I have a lot of friends who have used them to build very accurate shooters. I buy every one I can get my hands on - I think I've owned 8 or 9 of them. I use them for trades now, mostly. I've kept two that are just about perfect.

    I like them a lot!

I have an even dozen of them but this is the only one that has not been reblued or parkerized. It is also the only one without a crest or some form of government markings.just curious about it [;)]

Interesting it isn't marked with a crest or "EJERCITO". The DGFM-FMAP sounds correct. Maybe somebody will know why.

I have one but it is in rough condition, but at least it shoots well and I like it. Got a good price on it from Navy Arms (I think) several years ago.

I have replaced a few original parts with aftermarket parts and have not encountered any fit problems. That sayes something to me about the quality of manufacturering of these pistols.

The 25th edition Blue Book lists these for $450.00 for a 90% gun.

    heavyiron,

I would lean way towards the value you mentioned. If anyone wants to sell at the aforementioned prices they need to go to the "curio and relics forum" and list their gun. There is many on this site that have been looking for Sistema Colt's. I'll bet you that the response to their item would be fast and furious. They are getting hard to find. I have one that is an arsenal refurbished gun in parkerized finish. Has the same markings as noted in sharpshooter's thread.

    notdownorout,

Does your say "Ejercito" or "Armada Nacional" on the slide or is it blank?
