I have a Baby 9mm full size and it is probably the most reliable, durable gun I own. I have pounded it with handloads that were beyond hot and it has virtually no indications of excessive wear, even after slightly more than 13,000 rounds (only 9 failures, BTW). I was able to clean up the trigger to a slightly mushy 3 lbs., 4 oz. One really nice feature of the Baby's is the polygonal rifling-super easy to clean. Shortly after I bought mine, 3 of my friends bought their own. People just fall in love with these guns. I would rate its ergonomics and comfort at least as high as a 19ll. IMHO, this gun (and the Tanfoglio witness;same gun, basically) put all other 9mm pistols to shame. If more people had experience with the Baby/Witness and more stores stocked them, Beretta, Sig, Glock and all the others would have some serious competition to deal with. But the Baby was just reintroduced to the U.S. in 1999, so give it time.

I have an MRI and have to say I thought about trading it twice, but every time I pick it up, I fall in love all over again. Used it to qualify for my CC permit. For the money, is probably the most accurate, best pointing and shooting gun I own. It was a problem finding hi cap mags for a time, but those evil days a gone, for now, so I see no reason to not look highly on it. I have the full size as well, but see they now make a compact. If it shootsand is reliable as mine, see no reason not to.

I have a Baby Eagle and I will agree that it is the best 9mm I have shot. I see they are making them with polymer frames now and I don't know much about those models.

Haven't fired the polymer model, but have held them and they are no where near as comfortable as the steel guns.

I've got a polymer framed baby eagle in .40. It's been extremely reliable, but the grip is just too small for my hand. It's my wife's now. Other than that, it's very reliable and pretty consistent with its groups.

In my opinion, the Baby Eagle is good, but a CZ 75 is better... not by much, but still superior.

If the price is right and you like the feel, I say go for it. They're easy to maintain, fun to shoot, pretty accurate, and very reliable. I sold mine a while ago and kinda regret it now.[:(]

The IMI Baby Egle is based on the CZ design. There is nothing wrong with the design or the hand gun. The witness series is also based after the CZ. The CZ line is more polished than the Witmess or Eagle line but they function the same. My 2 cents [8D]

Your going to like it. I've had some experiances with em and they've all been great. Fired the 941 and the compact model and they are both outstanding.
