    I just ordered a new S&W K38 Classic. Any one who owns one have any comments pro or con? Please, only those who actualy own one.

    Smith made a test revolver in .30 Carbine built on the "N" frame for military tests back in 1944.

    Velocity on this gun was 1277fps with a 5" barrel. There are supposed to be 2 of these guns in private collections.

    A few were also built on the M&P "K" frame, but it proved to be too light to handle the carbine round.

    If Smith came out with a revolver in .30 carbine on the "N" frame, I would buy one in a second.

    Thanks for the reply Lefty. No way I could be so lucky but I can dream until Wed.

    I am only going by a poor picture but the squared off frame above the grip sure looks S&W to me. Probably some cheap knock-off.

    keep in mind, s&w made several revolvers in .32/20 (32wcf) that is realy a .30 cal. (.312")

    Thats a fact.Also the 32-20 is much more usable.
