Hi-Cap 10/22 mags

I am posting this new topic asking the you guys tell me of your exprience with all the high cap 10/22 mags you have had expirence with. i would like to figure out witch ones are the good ones and witch ones aren't. i am also interested in any clips with the steel lips. The only high cap i have is a butler creek hot lips. I was thinking about on of those 50 rounders and was wondering if they work reliabliy? thanks for the imput.

    Steel lips are good but cost alought just get a good butler creek.

    I have used them all, I prefer EAGLE 30 round mags. Butler Creek or Eagle work for me. The only problem I had with 10/22 mags was with Ramline mags...

    www.kyimports.com or www.whittakerguns.com sell the mags CHEAP... $18-$25. good luck.

    I've probably got 10,000 rounds through my Butler-Creek Hotlips---they look burned and charred, but have always worked well. Ramline sux---they break.

    Cheapest I have found are at Natchez Shooting Supply.
    Ramline double stack 50rds were $34, 25rd were $20
    Butler Creek 25rd Hotlips $20 Steel lips $26 0r $28??
    I have a excess of Butler Creek Hotlips.

    I threw a Ramline 30 rd. away, all it did was jam up constantly.

    I have purchased several over the years. The Mitchell 50 round I would not purchase again because the mechanism is much too delicate and is subject breakage.

    I have a new Ramline 50 rounder and it sucks! Save your money and buy and steel lipped Butler Creek 25 round mag. They are about the same price as the Ramline 50 round. The Ramline is difficult to load and has too many FTFs. Also collects debris in the mag with no clean-out port.

    The Butler Creek steel lipped mag has never had a FTF or FTE.

    Myself I prefer the ramlines, because of the double stack feature.
    Have not had a problem with them, even the 50s.
    But mine are used on a Intertec T22 & mac10/22 both require the double stack ramlines to function.
    The Butler Creek's I use on the 10/22's only.

    By the way you can clean any of them by soaking in soapy dishwater overnight and blowing the excess water out, until dry, with a air hose..
