J. Stevens Arms Company rifle
Hi everyone.I have a J. Stevens single shot 22 long rifle that has been in my family for sometime, wondering on an apx production date. Barrel is marked "J.Stevens Arms Company" Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA. Serial number looks to be U795 stamped on the stock lower mounting bar, top of receiver has Trade Mark Favorite. Barrel will separate from receiver and is held in place by one large thumb screw. Thanks for any information you can supply.

The name J Stevens Arms Co. was not used until 1915. 0 -
That's correct,joel.
That will at least narrow it down a bit.
Thanks,

Thanks for all your help...after looking again I see that it has model 1915 stamped into the upper stock mounting bar, I would guess that the DOM would be 1915?0 -
No, that's the model number. They made them from 1915 to about the middle of the 1930s. 0
