I have one in 243wssm - groups are: @ 100yds --Win superx 100gr=1.5", Win supreme 95gr Nosler = .75" handloads with Nosler 95 gr CT with H4831 or H414 run just under an inch. wssm is easy to reload but haven't equalled factory velocity yet. It's obvious published reloading data does not equal factory pressures either. My pro crony says superx 100 gr = 3150fps, WW supreme 95 gr = 3250 my best handload = 3050 and so far H414 is best. I have a 400 yd range where I shoot and am able to hold 3" groups off bags. The nice thing about my 243 is it doesn't care if it's clean or dirty, hot or cold, the shots are in the group. And that's a huntin' rifle! Only complaint would be the shorts pesky little critters are a bit awkward to load in the gun. The rifle is really light and a pleasure in the field. I topped with a Burris Bullistic Plex which compensates the drop very accuratly all the way to 600yds. I use a laser of course. The recoil is very very mild. I can see that a regular 243 Win would be just about as good especially if you reload.

Guess I forgot to mention - mines a browning - I should mention too that the short lift on the bolt handle translates into more force needed - not really as slick as I would like - no free lunches -- My buddy has a Ruger 77 in 243 win. Shoots just as good but weighs a pound more and costs a lot less - worth a look for you I think. Never had a Tika, never seen a Tika, no comment.
