Which rifle rest < $100 ?
So Im getting obsessed with the accuracy of my own rounds, and have realized that I need a rifle rest for the range. Any suggestions for one under $100? I see the Caldwell Lead Sled around alot....

The lead sleds are excellent. Especially if you are sighting in big caliber rifles and if you want to eliminate human error and focus on the load. 0 -
I just use empty shot bags
filled with whatevers handy
just try to pick the lightest

For under $100 the uncle bud's bull bag 15" model and a rear bag can't be beat. I have groups shot from the bull bag that rival groups shot from my mechanical front rest. The uncle bud's 15" bag is an all around great tool.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

I used empty shot bags for years, and always drooled at the "Varmint Rest" at the Reno gun show every time I went. I finally broke down, and bought on last December, and to be honest, it has been the best thing I have ever bought, for shooting off the bench. I wish I had bought it ten years ago!
It is a little pricey, but for what you get, it is every bit worth the price, especially if you are a left hand shooter, it is a dream to change over to left hand, and back again.
Look into it, you won't be sorry!

I would agree with JustC, the bull bag is as steady as it gets. It is heavy but not complicated. I just leave mine on the hump on the floor of the truck to keep from carrying it in and out of the house. 0 -
