FN-FAL metric vs. inch difference
At one time I had an STG-58 and then sold it. I still have a few mags left over and for advertising purposes I need to know what the difference is between metric and inch FN-FAL receivers and mags. There are no identifying marks on the mags but I seem to remember them being the inch kind. Do these fit L1A1, Imbel, etc.?
Thanks for any help!

Inch mags have a relatively large front tab that is welded(?) on. The metric mags have just a small protrusion punched out of the mag body. Metric will fit in inch receiver, but not vice-versa. If you had an STG58 and used those mags in it, they are metric. Also the inch mags have the floor plate attached to a flange that folds out from the mag body, whereas the metric mags have the floorplate retained inside. Used, in excellent cond. worth between $7.00 and $10.00 each.
