Rock-Ola Carbine

How do i tell if i have an original rock-ola carbine ? It only has rock-ola imprinted in one place.

  First time visitor to the forum.
  
  I have a Rock-ola M-1 carbine. #6087081. 'Rock-ola' on the barrel. No marks on the stock except for a faint M-R stamped in small letters and a larger 'P' on the handgrip. S-A on the sights, J.M.Q. on the barrel band.
  
  Can you tell me anything about it's history/value? What else do I need to look for?

  Buy the book M1 carbine wartime production by Craig Riesch and you'll be on your way. I am work and it's at home or i'd give you an earfull. If you want to email me I'll anwser when I get home. I have a Rock Ola that I have restored but with a lower serial # 171**** range. All the parts on yours should be a type III or IV and can be identified in that book. If you want I'll go over every piece down to the springs with you.
