buying old shotgun shells ffl needed?

i'm looking to buy some old 16 ga. 2 9/16 " shells on gb auctions is a ffl needed to buy ammo?

  No, not a FFL. However, any state and local laws will still apply (FOID card in Illinois for example). Seller may want a copy of your drivers liscense to verify your age & address.

  I have some 16 gauge shells, some paper, don't know the length but would like to get rid of them. My experience is old shells without a collector's box don't sell. Email me at ohdannej@yahoo.com if you are interested. I'm not looking to make any money....
