11-87 Slug barrel
I am recuperating from having 6 discs fused in my back and neck. I want to be able to hunt with a 12 ga. Slug gun. I am selling my old Browning BPS Invector shotgun and have bought an 11-87 since it is semi-auto and would reduce recoil. I want to find a good rifled slug barrel for it that is 24+" and can, or has been ported. I did not want to go the reduced recoil shell route (personal preferences). Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have visited the Hastings site and have looked at the MagnaPort site and I just don't know enough about these to make an educated decision about it.[:I] Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
God Bless.

As far as I know, Hastings is your only choice for a 24" rifled barrel. Most people would tell you that a cantilever / scope or red dot system beats plain old rifled sights. However I have an oem 21" rifled barrel that shoots just fine and doesn't have the cantilever. I don't have a scope on it though, and I think part of the reason for the cantilever is that it helps keep the scope aligned. 0
