Reminton Model 24
I have a Remington Model 24 off the browning pattern, with the numbers 96862, below the model #. Could you tell me what those numbers are and how much is worth.

Those numbers would be the serial number. There were about 132,000 of these rifles made before the model number was changed to the 241 in about 1935. The value will depend on the condition of the rifle. The primary determining factor is percentage of original finish remaining. Another big factor would be whether the rifle was complete and with no extra holes drilled in the receiver or barrel. 0
