You are the supreme authority on California gun laws, or so it appears to me from my lurking. [:D] I have a question concerning bringing a Colt Frontier Scout into the state. I know that I must register the revolver within a certain timeframe, but is a Scout even legal to own in the state? I don't find it in the laws and don't know if this type of revolver was drop tested by the state. Probably not. I inherited one from a relative and would like to bring it home. What do you think? Any other experts know? Replies would be appreciated.

From what I have read on GB, I guess if it were up to me, I'd be looking over a couple Yugo SKS's. When Mark C. or a couple other's here say "buy" it's sort of like the old stock market ads".....people listen", especially since Mark has dealt directly with some of the foreign people. Dang, and I was at a show yesterday and there were a few Yugo's there and I did't look since I a have a Rusky that collects dust. Definitely get thee to a gun show or shop and get thyself an SKS, but as frog has so well said, make sure ALL the cosmoline is out of the gun and bolt(even if they tell you they cleaned it already, do it for peace of mind)
