Did you try contacting Remington? That would be my first choice.

    buckdeer,

Here is a link and prices for the XP-100 bolts. These are new manufacture not older stock.

    http://www.benchrest.com/timeprecision/PRICE_LIST/price_list.html

    BOLTS
    Replace. For Rem 700 & XP100 $264.00
Cone style w/post '64 Win RH or LH $318.00

The only other alternative is to haunt the other boards with 'For Sale' sections and keep an eye out for bolts. That how most folks get them.

    Good luck!

Isn't it the same bolt as the model 600?

IF you could get action parts through a smith or dealer, perhaps that would still be cheaper than the above option?

    buckdeer,

I know what you mean about the price!

I have found numerous XP bolts on the 'net as I said above. They have ranged from $100.00 up to $195.00 which was the most recent from about a month ago. But you have to visit the sites as I mentioned, regularly. I saw one at a gunshow quite a while back but not any recently. Dave Kiff will be making them shortly, exactly when is unknown and he couldn't pin it down when I talked to him. He does have both the short and long action Remington bolts finished now so the XP's should be next.

    Best.
