AK-47 Single stack to double

Is there a way to convert a Romania Ak-47 single stack receiver to a double stack receiver.

AK-47.net is a excellent site incidentally, go and reasearch in their forums they have specific instructions how to rework the innards of those AK's that were imported with 10 round mags to hi-caps.

YOU HAVE TO COME UP WITH A WAY TO MAKE DIMPLES IN THE MAG WELL. ALOT OF THE WASR'S WERE CONVERTED TO HIGH CAP. THE MAG WELL WAS WALLOWED OUT TO ACCEPT THE WIDER HIGH CAP MAGS. NOT SURE HOW THEY STABILIZED THE MAG IN THE WELL. THE STAMPED RIFLES HAVE A DIMPLE PRESSED INTO THE SIDE. NOT SURE HOW THEY DO THE MILLED RIFLES.

until you replace the 10 foreign parts with u.s. parts then it becomes legal to install the folding stocks, pg's, etc if the gun was not imported before 1989. if it was domestically made then the expiration of the 1994 ban has released us to install lugs, hiders, stocks etc. (ar's and mini 14's)
