I had a CZ52 for a while and shot over 2,000 rounds of S&B through it without any ammo related problems, got rid of it cause its not suited for home defense.

When I bought mine, self-defense never was an issue. However, their are a couple guys out their who make decent home defense rounds for the CZ-52, most of which are devistating.
I got mine mainley for it's range. Once the accuracy is straightened out, the gun is like a low powered rifle ( M-1 Carbine etc. ) for range and accuracy.

I just personally think that the cz is too likely to go right through someone you were shooting and a couple walls after that and then strike an innocent person. Way too much penetration for home defense (unless the perp is wearing body armor), this thing will go through an engine block.
