CZ DUO/MODEL Z???
I have recently acquired a CZ model Z---it looks to be the same model as the Duo. Can anyone tell me if they are the same gun as I have several parts to order? Thanks!

They are the same pistol. After the Communists took over Czechoslovakia in the late 40's, they nationalized the firearms industry. The Duo as well as some other guns were sold with the "Z" marking at first, then it was marked "CZ" as well, sometimes only on the grips? It should have a two diget proof date from the late 40's or early 50's.

Good luck finding parts, I have a Model Z, and getting parts is a real PITA. IN the case fo the firinfg pin, I had to order a Colt Pocket Auto .25ACP pin and fit it top my gun. 0 -
wtex551,
Here's a post I made a few weeks ago. Like Bill Costik said, parts are hard to come by. The ones I were able to find are in the post below. As a follow-up to that post, I replaced the springs to no avail. Still only managing a 50% discharge rate.
Good luck finding parts and if you come up with a good place, please post! <g>

I, too, have been looking for parts (firing pin) for a CZ Model Z. As you no doubt have already concluded, the parts are pretty scarce. I was able to find the firing pin at two places:
http://www.wisnersinc.com/index.html
http://www.jackfirstgun.com/index.html
Wisners makes reproduction parts. The firing pin they sent me looks OK. More or less identical to the original but with some machine/tool marks. It seems to fit OK, but the the jury's still out on the function. Right now, I'm only managing about a 50% discharge rate. Can't tell at the moment if it's the pin or some other problem with the pistol. Reasonably priced @ $13.95
Jack's First also had the part, but would only sell to dealers. Not sure if that's all they do if it depends on the part. Regardless, they said I'd have to get my smith to order it. In addition, they could (or would) not give me a price. They said only my gunsmith would know since he would surely mark it up a bit. They wouldn't give me the dealer price either. Also, I've never ordered parts from Jack's so the above is the only experience I have with them. I found them in the "links" section of Wisner's site.
Also, in an attempt to troubleshoot my problem, I decided to replace the springs (on order). I found the springs (recoil and striker) here:
http://gunsprings.com/resources/welcomenof.html
Lastly, since you've surely already tried gunbroker.com, you may also want to try {elsewhere}. There was nothing on there last time I looked, but I did find some closed auctions for the CZ Duo, so they do show up from time to time. Local gun shows or gunsmiths might also be a source.
