Gun building question

Okay. I have searched hi and low and nothing like this exists.

I want a 22 hornet in this configuration:

1. Stainless bbl and action

2. synthetic or laminated wood stock

3. Not a bull barrel.

Why? Because I want a "quiet gun" for small varmits at ranges out to 100 yards with weather and rust resistant qualities to carry in the pickup truck cold weather to hot weather. I don't want the bull bbl as I don't see the need for it with what I plan to use it for and I can see carrying this rifle on outings of a few miles when hunting skunks, badgers, porcupine, beaver etc.

So suggestions of what action to build this on and where to get the right stock that will fit?

Thanks for any useful suggestions.

    The Charles Daly Mini Mauser is available in .22 Hornet.
    The stainless steel version is available as a barreled action with a 20" barrel. I THINK Richards Microfit offers unfinished stocks for this action.

    Scout, I have had for at least 20 years a mini-mauser in .223. It shoots well under a inch groups with about anything I put down the bore. I redid the factory stock to looke like an Englis African Express rifle and it is a little jewel. Even with a Burris 4-12 Target scope it is very light. Good luck on your project. I can see that you have put some good thinking into your decision. Please let me know how it turns out. I have 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and all of them want the rifle--guess who's going to get it?

    well it would depend on how bad you really need[want]it. Ruger has what you are looking for w/ the exception of the hb, since there barrels come off fairly easy ....buy one an send it barrel] out an have it turned down to the desired config you want... just a thought [:)]
